Our client, a top tier corporate bank, is looking to hire a VP / Director level Financial Institutions Credit Analyst in London.
Main responsibilities will include:
You will take full responsibility for all aspects of credit analysis work related to an assigned portfolio of largely Insurance and Banking Financial Institutions.
Review and assess credit proposals and credit ratings from the front office teams.
Identify key risk issues and discuss these with senior management.
Reach a reasoned conclusion including conditions and instructions, proposing alternative solutions as appropriate. Manage own workload effectively and efficiently whilst not sacrificing quality.
Monitor own portfolio and take an early pro-active stance to minimise potential loses.
Relevant degree or other professional qualification.
Recent and extensive experience of analysing large Financial Institution/Banks and Insurance credits at a major financial institution is essential.
Experience of also looking at non-banking counterparties including insurance names an advantage.
Ability to communicate in a clear and well structured manner both verbally and in-writing.
Ability to work independently to tight, occasionally fluctuating deadlines.
Microsoft office skills and experience of using research databases.
Team player, with strong communications skill.
