Job Description

My client are a well regarded financial services organisation with offices all over the EMEA region.

This role will be working in a small team of sanctions advisory specialists

 

The role

Monitors and assesses changes to sanctions legislation on an ongoing basis.

Provides advice and guidance to all marketing departments throughout EMEA, with respect to sanctions compliance.

Provides support to EMEA Head /Deputy Head of Sanctions Advisory.

To collate and obtain due diligence with respect to transactions or activities being performed

To conduct and submit sanctions risk assessments for review  of the new or existing customers in order to determine the adequacy of controls, for the specific products and/or services being provided.

To review and assess the appropriateness of sanctions related clauses contained within financing documentation, to ensure transactions fall within the risk appetite.

To provide sanctions training to key stakeholders to ensure they understand and comply with requirements.

To assist in the writing of applicable policies and procedures.

To escalate effectively to the EMEA Head/Deputy Head of Sanctions Advisory, any other matters that require further guidance.

 

You

Sound understanding of legal sanctions instruments.

Sound understanding of key sanctions regimes.

Sound understanding of the products and services.

Strong analytical skills, capable of making logical assessments based upon factual data.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when faced with challenge.

Sound investigative skills.

Strong ability to appropriately prioritise tasks in a high-risk environment.
