Carr-Lyons Search & Selection was established in 1994 having identified a gap in the market for a specialist recruitment firm to provide both Search and Selection services to Financial Institutions in the City. Whilst our teams and coverage areas have grown since then, our passion and ideals and have always remained the same – to provide specialist knowledge, professionalism and integrity to our clients.

The team was created to provide expert recruitment knowledge to the Credit and Risk markets and soon expanded to cover Leveraged & Structured Finance, Trade Finance, Project Finance and Corporate Banking. As part of our ongoing programme of growth, we further expanded our coverage to the Compliance market, a natural and successful complement to our existing business.

We are an owner-managed business with a flexible and responsive approach to each of our client’s needs. As a result we work with many of the same clients today as when our business was formed in over 20 years ago. We pride ourselves in offering a bespoke and personalised recruitment service and as a result have an excellent track record of achievement in a highly competitive market.

We aim to establish long-term and close working relationships with all our clients. In doing this, we are able to assess your specific requirements and can accurately judge the type of individual who will fit your organisation. Our role is to apply insight, judgement and personal instinct when selecting the most suitable candidates for you. Our first priority is always to select the ideal person for you.

We do not send unsolicited CVs or inappropriate candidate details. All submitted candidates will have expressed an interest in your organisation and will be fully briefed on your company’s requirements.

We maintain and develop our own extensive database of Finance and Compliance professionals actively seeking new positions. Developed, refined and continually updated, our database can provide one of the largest selection of Finance and Compliance candidates within the EMEA region. This also provides us with a constant and up to date viewpoint of the market that we can share with our clients.

Executive Search

In what is now a highly competitive and evolving market, Executive Search can often be the most effective and thorough form of recruitment, especially for more senior and specialised roles. It enables us to target a carefully selected and limited pool of potential candidates who are generally not actively looking in the market. It also allows you, the client, to set agreed upon time frames for the process, be confident that the right message is being portrayed to the market and allows us to devote the time and resources required to find the right selection of candidates.
